SS-VERFUGUNGSTRUPPE RANK SHOULDERSTRAPS SS-VERFUGUNGSTRUPPE UNIT PATCHES
The SS-VT (SS Special Purpose Troops) were units of the SS
formally established in 1935 to provide armed and trained
for internal security and police duty. SS-VT regiments were
Leibstandarte-SS Adolf Hitler, Deutschland, Germania and
Der Fuhrer. Eventually these units became the first elements
of the Waffen-SS.
The black SS Uniform (See SECTION 3 ALLGEMEINE-SS) was the
first dress and service uniform for the SS-VT. Earthgrey sevice
uniforms cut like the black uniform began to be issued in 1935.
They were replaced by Fieldgrey uniforms starting in 1937.
Unit collar patches used the SS runes. SS-TV EM shoulderstraps
for the fieldgrey uniform were modeled after German army straps.
Army pattern shoulderstraps were issued with fieldgrey uniforms
for all ranks.
